The SBB A2718 - 16CH/I0.3/CMC is a smart battery balancer based on the TI BQ79616 with Cell Management Controller functionality for battery module and pack test setups. It supports up to 16 cells with a balancing current of up to 300 mA per channel and connections for four external NTC temperature sensors, typically installed inside the battery stack or attached directly to the cells. Cell and NTC signals are connected via D-Sub 25, while balancing resistors are connected via D-Sub 37. Communication is provided via M8 (ISO-SPI/COM). The module has a continuous-cast aluminium housing with a TS35 top-hat rail mounting clip and dimensions (L × W × H) of 140 × 110 × 35 mm.
