The TC A6851 - 3CH/AC is a high-dynamic 3-channel spot temperature controller for fast and precise temperature control processes on battery cells and battery modules. It is designed for applications where local hot spots must be controlled or simulated with very short response times. By rectifying the Alternating Current (AC), the heating power can be controlled via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) much faster and more precisely than with conventional AC control, where power regulation is typically limited to complete half-waves. This enables highly dynamic temperature control processes with response times below 50 ms. Typical use cases include battery test benches, cell and module testing, thermal safety investigations and development setups where fast local temperature changes must be generated, controlled or reproduced.
